Quoteline Direct is the online trading arm of the Wilsons Group of insurance brokers. The group was set up in 1969 and, so, may claim more than 40 years’ experience in providing cover across a wide variety of general and personal insurance policies.
Back in 1969, insurance brokerages typically operated through offices in high streets up and down the country. The Wilsons Group was no exception. 1993 saw the first launch of the Quoteline Direct brand name, operated from a new Quote Centre at the company’s headquarters in Manchester.
In 1999, the group closed its network of high street branches and focused its entire business online and through its Manchester-based call centre. Here, all of the company’s departments operate under the same roof, with the support of up to the minute telephone and computer technology.
If you own a property or a number of properties which are let to tenants, what might you look for when arranging your landlord insurance?
Typically, the key to arranging any type of insurance is the ability to select:
- the elements of cover you need;
- depending on your particular needs and requirements;
- avoiding the addition of elements of cover that you may not need; and
- at a price that is as competitive as similar offerings in the market.
Such an approach recognises that insurance generally needs to serve particular individual needs, and those of a number of individuals may vary widely. The single objective that might unite each one, however, is the quest for affordable premiums.
